For Sale: Gewehr 1888 Carbine
I am selling my early German Gewehr 1888 Carbine. The metal is all numbers matching but the stock was homemade some time ago and is not original. Rifle is dated 1890 and is "S" stamped denoting that it has been rebarreled to the 8mm mauser round (7.92x57mm). I do not have the stripper clip. However reproduction ones are available online for $10.
Metal is rough and the barrel has seen better days but it will fire. A complete matching example of this carbine can set you back over $2000. Considering the condition of this rifle I am only asking $325.00 or best offer, no trades.
