SKB 12ga Side by Side Double

Original Japanese, non-import marked SKB side by side shotgun. 26" chrome lined, chrome-moly barrels with full choke on left side & imp. choke on right. Both sides mic at .805' outside diameter below the forcing cones and are over-bored to .735" with elongated forcing cones for better shot disbursement & even patterns. It also has a solid center rib with a single bead sight. Single selective trigger with an inertia reset for second shot. It also has dual extractor/ejectors (if you shoot one side, it only ejects the side fired, it will extract the other side, meaning it will just pull the unfired shell back to make it easily removed). It has a dense hardwood stock & forearm (I think it's Japanese Maple, but not 100% certain) that is hand checkered & inlaid with brass & steel bolsters. Moderately hand engraved (not cheap roll stamping) steel receiver block. Jeweled barrel & receiver block that locks up tight with zero wiggle or slop. The break lever still sits several degrees to the right of center so it has a long life ahead of it. There are NO Ithica or Mitsui markings of any kind. This was purchased by a now retired military officer while he was stationed in Japan & shipped home in the late 1970s. This will shoot up to 3" shells but it has a hefty recoil with heavy turkey loads, etc. I can send more pictures on request to show more detail.

These are world class shotguns & not garden variety Fox/Stevens grade guns. It weighs in at just over 4 pounds. Perfectly balanced. Points & shoots like a dream. I traded for it & wanted to have Briley tubes installed, but life happens & I can't afford to do that now for several years. $875 cash.
