The bluing is perfect as is the wood, the checkering is super sharp with very nice grain showing thru on the forend especially, the barrel is 22" ,overall approx 25" with the BOSS(another great feature on this firearm). This is the improved redesigned BAR offering a redesigned bolt release, new gas operating system for recoil reduction and improved operations and a removeable trigger. The BOSS system became available in 1994 and it also had the option of a ported BOSS which is what this one has(better recoil reduction). Once again, it has a gloss blue finish, gloss finished checkered walnut stock and fore end,gold trigger and a detachable 4 shot mag. Weighs approx 8 1/2# and made in BELGIUM. Comes with the added value of Leupold/Redfield base and rings. Factory box is available
