NICE MODEL 1892 CALIBER .38-40 LEVER ACTION SADDLE RING CARBINE WITH 16 INCH BARREL. SERIAL NUMBER 891,656. MADE IN 1920. C&R OK. a well used Winchester model 1892 with a 16" bbl, full length magazine, front sight with a Marbles insert and a 2,000 yard carbine ladder rear sight. Although it has all the features of a rare, short barreled “Trapper” carbine it is not. It is a regular 1892 saddle ring carbine that had the barrel expertly shortened long ago
